Most reputable removal companies have a presence on Google. Check out their reviews, paying close attention to the comments and any replies from the company owners. Watch out for aggregator review sites, which may host fraudulent reviews or comments from unscrupulous competitors.

When you hire a house moving company, their packing crew will be entering your home and handling your valuable belongings. Don’t trust this to just anyone.
Check that the moving company you hire is fully accredited in your area. Legitimate accreditations in the relocation industry include:

It can be tempting to base your decision on an online quote…but buyer beware! Moving quotes provided online or over the phone without a complete survey are estimates only, and can end up costing you much more than originally intended.
Reputable house removal companies conduct complete home surveys and provide accurate estimates. These can be done in person or virtually using a smartphone.
In either case, you will walk through your home and show your Move Specialist all of the items that you plan to move or leave behind.

To accurately compare house moving quotes, make sure you obtain like-for-like quotes.
Check if your moving quote takes into account:
