Supplier Service Award Recipients Honored Through Charitable Contributions

Rethinking ways to recognize excellence enabled celebrating outstanding service, supporting local communities and forwarding sustainability efforts

Jacksonville, FL – Each year, Sterling Lexicon recognizes service providers within its global network who go above and beyond to demonstrate an unwavering commitment to shared values, outstanding customer service and delivering top-quality results.

To honor the 2022 recipients, Sterling Lexicon took a new, community- and sustainability-focused approach. In place of the more traditional production and distribution of physical awards, Sterling Lexicon’s GNI (Global Network Integration) team invested in a contribution to Move for Hunger in the name of each honoree. Assigning a monetary value to more than 30 individuals and companies across three award tiers, Sterling Lexicon donated just over $5,000 to Move for Hunger, an organization dedicated to reducing food waste and channeling resources to those in need.

Honoring partners with a charitable contribution allows the GNI team to continue recognizing and celebrating top performers while also contributing to sustainability and community development commitments. Sterling Lexicon’s donation will help provide 12,650 meals to communities in need.

“Our supplier partners are the on-the-ground ambassadors of our company and the lifeblood of what we do,” said Craig Donovan, Senior Vice President, Global Network Integration. “We appreciate and value every network member’s contributions and commitments to meeting the needs of our clients and transferring families all year long, but we also want to highlight those who have earned and deserve additional recognition through our awards program. This year, we decided to forgo the traditional symbols of that appreciation – typically manifested in packaged and mailed physical awards – in favor of a more meaningful contribution to charity in their names. We felt this was a much better and more environmentally sustainable way to honor them, and Move for Hunger was an easy and logical choice as a worthy recipient of that industrywide donation. Our honorees have agreed, as it’s a decision that we’re pleased to say has been very well received.”

Move For Hunger works with relocation professionals across the United States and Canada to rescue unopened, non-perishable food items and deliver them to local food banks and pantries. Sterling Lexicon and its parent company, The Suddath Companies, maintain a year-round partnership with Move for Hunger. Move coordinators share information about Move for Hunger with relocating employees and packers facilitate the donation of unwanted non-perishable foods. Filled donation boxes are brought back to the local warehouse and Sterling Lexicon team members deliver the food items to the local food bank monthly. This program turns every move into an opportunity to make a difference in the local community.
