Further to previous relaxations of entry through French borders, the French authorities have granted an exemption to applicants and holders of long stay “Talent Passport” visas in an effort to stimulate the competitiveness of France’s economy.
What has changed?
Following the French authorities’ decision to allow applicants and holders of the “Passeport Talent” visa entry into the French territory, French consulates overseas have resumed processing these applications. Foreign employees eligible for this type of permit can now apply and enter France with their accompanying dependents, irrespective of their country of origin.
Of important note, depending on their country of origin, applicants may be required to provide a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test proving they do not have any symptoms of a COVID-19 infection and a mandatory Certificate of International travel is still required. These items will need to be presented to transportation companies before boarding, as well as to border control authorities. Individuals will also still be required to follow sanitary measures in place such as a two-week quarantine period, dependant on their country of origin.
